Ordering Procedures

Here is a very simple process to realizing your Hydroloc Basement for your home.  Generally we need about 30 days turnaround from the time of order to installation. We can start the process before you have your building permits in place.

1. Send a copy of your plans to us via email to info@hydrolock.ca . We would be looking for pdf, jpg or dwf files as attachments. The desired prints would be the foundation and main floor. Elevations are helpful if the basement is a daylight or walk-in.  Please allow two business days for response.

2. Upon receiving your quote - we will answer any questions that you have about the basement. You can provide the excavation, footing (and later floor) or we can have our crew look after that.

3. The order is placed and the normal terms are 50% down and 50% on completion of the basement. This usually works out well with builder advances.

4. The basement plans will be going to a structural engineer for his approval. The engineer will decide the final specifications such as lighter/heavier gauge steel and the spacing. He will also review windows, corners, garages and everything else. We can use your structural engineer close to the building site or we can use one that we regularly work with.

5. Once we have the final specifications, we place our material orders.

6. Upon the delivery of the materials, we will be scheduling the assembly of the walls within the next few days. About this time, we will also coordinate the excavation and footings, if it is not already done.

7. The building permits must be in place before any construction begins on site. Our crews will ask to see a copy of the permit.

8. After completion in the factory, we will truck the walls out to the site and erect the walls.

9. The basement is now ready for the floor installation above.

10. Final payment is made to us and we wish you well in your building program.

11. If there are any questions/problems with the HydroLoc System, please feel free to give us a call.

12. The engineer will sign off on the foundation when the main floor is installed and secured to their specifications. The basement floor must also be poured. The engineer is the one who signs for the integrity of the basement and that looks after the foundation from the building inspector’s point of view.
